Throughout his career, Tim has valued teaching collaboration, communication, management, and leadership through the practice of theater-making. Currently, Tim is the Director of Production for the Department of Theater, Dance & Media at Harvard University. Previously, Tim worked at Emerson College for eight years as the Production Manager for the Performing Arts Department, where he supported and mentored students who have gone on to build successful careers on Broadway, Off-Broadway, national and international tours, regional theaters, opera, dance, and with large-scale event companies. Tim’s career spans a wide range of roles within the industry, including non-profit producing, charitable organizations, commercial endeavors, and educational institutions.
Tim has held Production Manager and Producer positions at a range of organizations throughout his career, including Ogunquit Playhouse, Intiman Theatre, Brown University/Trinity Repertory Company, The Mint Theater Company, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, among others. These experiences represent some of the highlights of his diverse professional journey.
Throughout his career, Tim has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organizations, including Mabou Mines, American Repertory Theatre, The Public Theater, and The WPA, among others. Tim has been on teams for several Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national tours, and for 20 years served as the Production Stage Manager for Charles Busch’s annual production of Times Square Angel at Theater for the New City.
Tim has significant pedagogical experience at some of the country’s most esteemed higher education institutions. At Brown University, Tim founded and led the production department for nationally recognized Brown / Trinity Rep MFA Program. As an Educator, Tim has also taught at Bridgewater State University, and Harvard University’s Institute for Advanced Theatre Training. Throughout his career, Tim has particularly valued educating the next generation of theater educators and practitioners, leading countless courses and seminars at various high schools and colleges throughout the United States.
Tim has served on the Board of Directors for the New England Theatre Conference, and is an AEA member. He is an active member of the Production Manager’s Forum, and an avid supporter of the United States Institute for Theater Technology. Tim is a proud graduate of Marymount Manhattan College.
